The 1.5-Hour Experience

Six stops. All hands-on. All outside.

Stop 01

Meet the Birds

Start with the chickens, ducks, and geese. Kids learn the differences, see how eggs are collected, and get comfortable around livestock.

Stop 02

Visit the Baby Goats

Meet the youngest goats on the farm. During kidding season, some might be just days old. Kids learn about breeds and how we raise them.

Stop 03

Bottle-Feed the Herd

Every kid gets a turn. This is usually the moment that makes the whole trip. Baby goats are eager and the kids can't stop laughing.

Stop 04

Walk the Pastures

Walk through the pastures to see the adult goats. Kids learn about feeding, what goats eat, and why we use alfalfa. Everyone gets to hand-feed the herd.

Stop 05

Tour the Milking Parlor

See where the milk actually gets made. We walk through our Grade A licensed facility and explain how raw goat milk goes from the goat to the bottle.

Stop 06

Try Milking a Goat

The grand finale. Every kid who wants to try gets a chance to hand-milk one of our goats. Most have never done anything like it.

Make it an overnight.

Stay on the farm and wake up to Mount Rainier. Book a farm experience during the day and sleep on the farm that night. Three cabins, each one different.

That's the Field Trips page.

Six sections. The at-a-glance strip gives teachers the essentials in three seconds ($10/child, 1.5 hours, ~20 kids, preschool through elementary). The six-stop activity walkthrough shows exactly what kids will do. The planning section answers every logistical question a teacher or organizer would have. And the overnight cross-sell catches the parents who realize they want to bring their own family back.

Photos needed: 1 hero (kids with animals), 6 activity photos (birds, baby goats, bottle-feeding, pasture walk, milking parlor, hand-milking).
