Northwest Trek Wildlife Park
~10 minutes from the farm
A 725-acre wildlife park with free-roaming bison, elk, moose, and mountain goats. Tram tours, walking paths, and keeper talks. One of the best family-friendly attractions in Pierce County.
Mount Rainier National Park
~45 minutes to Nisqually Entrance
Paradise is the best place to visit when roads are open. Wildflower season in July and August is spectacular. Multiple trailheads for all skill levels. Go early, especially in summer.
High Rock Lookout
~30 minutes from the farm
A steep hike with incredible Mount Rainier views from the top. One of the best payoff-to-distance ratios in the area. Not for beginners, but worth every step.
Little Mashel Falls
Outside the park
A beautiful waterfall hike that most tourists don't know about. Less crowded than the park trails and just as stunning.
Alder Lake
~15 minutes from the farm
Swimming, fishing, kayaking, and camping. Quieter than the more popular lakes in the region. Good for a half-day trip or an afternoon cooldown after hiking.

Casual pizza place close to the farm. Good for families, easy dinner after a day of hiking or exploring.
Left Foot Farm
Walk a working goat dairy. Meet the animals, see the milking parlor, stop by the farm store. Free visits, no reservation needed. Stay in one of three farm cabins if you want to make it an overnight. Kids love it here.
How to spend a weekend in the area.
Arrive at the farm. Check into your cabin. Walk the property, meet the goats, grab supplies from the farm store. Quiet dinner on the porch with Rainier in the distance.
Morning coffee on the farm. Drive to Mount Rainier National Park for a day hike. Stop at Northwest Trek on the way back. Dinner at Mill Haus Cider Company or one of the local spots.
Sleep in. Help with morning chores if you want, or just sit with your coffee. Walk the farm one more time. Stop by the farm store on your way out.
